I thought this might be a cool subject.

Back in 1984 my 1st car was a 1969 Mustang Coupe. It was a bone stock 302 2v c4 combo but the body/frame were in pretty good shape. My parents always told me that they'd match what ever money I could spend on a car so when I was 14 I worked on a local farm. I managed to save a total of $700 in 2 years and the asking price on the Mustang was $1,800. Guess what.....ended up getting it for $1,400...lol
I still have the car and it's been stored inside for probably the last 20 years. It's went thru many transitions since back in 1984 and currently has a solid lifter 302 with some ported 289 heads with a small block C-6 and a 9" posi rear. It's a slow slug but.....It is what it is.....It's not worth much due to being a Coupe but I have had a Ton of good times/memories in that car. The Wifey was hinting on maybe selling one or two of our Mustangs....lol

I told her that she can sell that car if I die before her. lol

What was your 1st car?

I drove my moms subaru for a year haha. At 17 I bought a 1990 thunderbird super coupe with a 5spd. Supercharged 3.8 v6. It was stock and had 95000 miles on it. I ported the exhaust manifolds put an overdrive pulley on the blower and did some other stuff. It wasn't quick but it was fast! Had like a 2.73 rear gear. Shifted from 3 to 4 at 115mph lol. I miss that car.

1958 Ford Fairlane 500 police car with the 332 CI Police Inteceptor engine in it. Two tone Blue and would top out at around 135 MPH.

First vehicle was a 1978 Chevy Luv what wasn't covered with bondo when I got it was when it left, pretty tough little engine I tried blowing it up and never managed to.

First and only car was/is a 1983 Mustang GLX came wit a 4 cyl.-4 speed now has been converted to a Cleveland and going with the c-6 automatic tried doing a toploader 4-speed and it is to much of a pain in my @$$.

1967 Barracuda, purchased from South Broadway for $672.00 in 1980. 273 which I swapped for a 318 I took from another Mopar and rebuilt, slapped on lots of bondo and painted it Black Metal Flake like a damn boat.

Fun car though, fold down rear seat, salvage yard buckets from a late model (at that time) Mustang. :P

My first car is my current race car- my 70 Cougar. Untill Saturday, it had the original Cleveland which was rebuilt 2 times. Now sits my 520hp 359c between the fender walls.
