Hi Matt, I have the same size your running. As far as a regular slick I need to get new tires next year and thought I'd try a full slick to see if I can improve on my 60' times..

Tim, sounds good. I agree some times you have to bite the bullet and just try it. I did that a few years ago. Originally with the less powerful 362C I ran the Quick Time Pro 26x9.5x15. They were perfect for that combo. Then the car sat and they dry rotted. So at the Pates swap meet I picked up a slightly used set of M/T Et Street 26x10.5 to see how they were. Shoot I only paid $200 for the pair and they were still mounted to the Draglite wheels. Sold those wheels for $100. Any ways, with the same 362 engine those M/T Et Streets were trash. First off I had to burn them a lot longer to heat them and I had to run less air pressure. Then I put the current engine in and they just got me by. I knew I was gonna get some new tires so I abused the hell out the M/T. So then I got the QTP 27x11.5 and with only that change dropped my 60ft .100 and my 1/8 mile .200 . 1/8 went from concistant 7.4 at 93mph to back to back 7.2 at 95mph. By the way, I never had tubes in the 26x9.5 but did have tubes in the MT and the same tubes in the currant QTP 27x11.5. One day I would like to try true drag radials but my suspension isn't set up for them.

I finally took my car for a ride around the block for first time since the china virus started. I dry hopped it on the street and it seemed like it wanted to goooo. My best 60ft so far is 1.65. Maybe with the shocks and those 2 degree pinion angle plates it will hopefully lower it because with the in-correct 3000 stall I just don't see it ever 60ft any better.

Matt, how much air do you run in the rear tires, I'm usually around 15psi. Are you using a stock driveshaft or after market, I have the original in currently but want to go aftermarket for next year. Being from Michigan I will have some time to make a few changes

Tim, air pressure depended on track I am at. The 1/8 mile (the bastards just closed for good) I could run around 17-18 psi. The 1/4 mile (Texas Motorplex) more around 15-16. Mostly depended on who preped the tracks though.

Drive shaft is actually the stock unit from my old 69 Cougar Eliminator BOSS 302 4spd car. I had it gone through and rebalanced like 5 years ago. I bought a nodular case set up from a buddy. It has the 1350 yoke. So now the rear U-Joint is a Moser 5U460 which is a 1310-1350 conversion u-joint. Its a Spicer u-joint by the way.
