Pistons and rings have been ordered. 14cc dish on a Racetec slug, 1.5/1.5/3mm ring pack, 1.195" compression height. Aiming for 10.25:1 compression.

Camshaft is one of my customs, 235/243 @ .050" billet core hydraulic roller, on a 109 LSA, with a 103 ICL.

Looks good Brent all nice and cleaned up. Just a reminder to make sure the Moroso oil restrictor plugs are out, don't need them in there with hydraulic cam.

Block is scrubbed, cleaned, and painted.

I've been adding another step to my cleaning process. After bore brushing all the galleys, I will put plugs in the block, then hook up a manual pump to the block, with its suction hose down in a container of lacquer thinner. Under pressure, the solvent pretty much goes everywhere, and you can see a little brownish fluid come out of the main saddle holes until everything is flushed out, then it turns clear. It air dries quickly.

Block is painted Ford dark blue, the appropriate color for a Cleveland. Looks darker in person; the camera puts a little light on it.

Brass freeze plugs are in. Galley plugs are in. Oil filter is on to keep dust out and the block is bagged.

Cool idea Brent on the lacquer thinner as it is such a bitch to get all that brown crap out of a well-used block!
