My fault for ordering a 'cam kit' I guess, but when you're not really up with the play on this kind of thing, you kind of rely on these guys to see you right, lesson learned!!

Some universal springs and matching retainers goin cheap, anyone interested??

I will get the covers off and do a measure up.

I'm in Aussie for a week from Friday, I can get some compcams 928s or 930s for around $230 nz pesos and tool steel retainers for $255 if they are going to be suitable...

Rob,all of the springs you've suggested will "work" to a degree but essentially they are wrong.
If you are coming to Oz and you want me to hook you up with a proven spring and retainer package setup for a Cleveland send me a pm.

Cheers,Russ

Hey team,

So got the new springs ( cheers Russ) 155 seat and about 430 open from memory.
I was reading another post the other day and it got me thinking about the limits of my roller lifters, they are the lunati street items (most likely morel) and I was wondering what the upper safe limits of these would be spring pressure wise.....
Any idea anyone?

Cheers,

Rob.

You're pushing it.

Use the correct oil, don't be running any thick viscosities.

Hey Brent,

I've been running a 20w/60 which has full zinc with the flat rapper but was wondering if that would be to thick for the new set up. You use 10w/30 right?

You gotta watch the viscosity because Morels won't meter with thick oil.

10W30 or some 10W40's will work, but you have to watch their kinematic viscosity.

We used to be able to get vr1 racing oil 10w/30 here but can't seem to find any at the moment. Do have the 10w/40 version available tho....
Have plenty of other 10w/30 options, most if not all are semi synthetics. Is dino the preferred choice or semi syns ok?

Try NAPA for VR1 10-30. If they don't have it on the shelf, they can get it.
