Because there doesn't seem to be anything else, and it might be usable with some cleanup.

Its a 4500 flange, so not ideal but might could be made to work.

Can you find that intake from anyone else except with a 4150 bolt pattern? I would be afraid by time you add a 2" spacer/adapter to it to bolt a 4150 on, it would be way too tall. If you know a good aluminum welder I suppose you could weld a 1" 4150 spacer to the top of it. But even then it's still getting pretty tall.
Personally, I have no problems using stuff like that any more. Yeah, the casting might not be perfect, but I've gotten some stuff from the big name companies that was pure garbage, and cost a lot more.

Saw a Facebook link on Google last night that said TFC intakes were back in stock at Total Performance in Australia. When I went to the post, it was actually dated April 2019. Arrrgh. I left them a msg so maybe find out something later. Yea, that intake is way less than ideal. And, there's no guarantee I'd even get it. Last Speedmaster intake I tried to buy, gave up after a year. Never was in stock.

Unless you are a better Sherlock Holmes than I am, I cant even find intakes on Speedmaster's website. I can find all grades of other stuff, but no intakes except in top end kits.

It shows that intake is out of stock on their website. Doubtful anyone would have one in their warehouse.

Speedmaster is famous for making one run of something, selling them all but still keep it in their catalog for years.
I think you can easily get a Chi intake for about 650....

I’m friends with the owner of that establishment. If you let me know what you are after I’ll ask him.

TFC I think has an intake that is similar to the Funnelweb 4V - "3V", stuffed port, etc. Talk on the web is that that type intake will fit my AFD 4V heads. The Parker fits and works.

I'd like another Funnelweb style 4V type intake because the Falcon has Parker tongues in the 4v ported heads, but I run a Funnelweb 2V on it because that's all I have. Or the tunnel ram. Tunnel ram not good when running alcohol LOL.

The CHI manifold will be as close a fit if not better.
I’ve just finished up building a 427 based clevor with AFD heads. That’s the intake I used and whilst it did need work to fit correctly the port match was still reasonably close.

Interesting - I would not have thought the CHI would be that close, considering they make their own heads. Which intake did you use - the "3V FORD CLEVELAND MANIFOLD"

http://www.chiheads.com.au/shop/manifol ... -manifold/ 9.2 deck? CC size - 225? Did you use the "C" or the W intake with the W water runs? I've already go the setup to pull water out the front of the heads, so don't really need a "W" style intake. Also, I hope it's not drilled for injectors - don't have a need for that either LOL

INT3V225H9.2C - only finding at CNC-Motorsports
