Sounds better with what fells like a better bottom end.

Just sounds right!!!!!

Field test at 5.00.....Never did this before but his mother is gone for 3 weeks.

The sacred horse fields will never be the same......(If all go's well)

And rip we did! Kind of?

Pass. 1. Runs like crap! Change a plug on no.1........... runs better but not very good.
Pull valve cover to find no.1 ex push rod broke at the top?
After the last failure we were down two new push rods so we used two old push rods(5 min run time max)
The ones that bound up on the rockers before we ground them down..
BAD choice!!!!!I think thy were bent at the top from that event..

Pass. 2. Great happiness !!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost give up..

They did not bring spare parts for the motor that would not be needed if they had fixed the known defect in the motor!!

ONE old push rod!!!!!!!!

ME..You need to change that one old push rod instead of seeing it fail at the worst moment.
Him. We will gust bring a spare and change if needed..
ME.. We are here two days before loading so lets gust get it done?
Him..Don't really see the problem.
ME. If your good with it am not going waste my time looking for the one old push rod.

Saturday at 2.00

Him...Ring-Ring-Ring---RAY!!! (Yes?) we need a push rod that we forgot to bring with us on the way out of town..

ME... Really???? Its a 6 hour round trip for me for something that I told you to fix at least 5 times
and you did not bring spares..

NO.NO.and NO

BURN ONE MORE!!!!

In the end someone did the road time to get the push rods there..

Only to blow the locker out of the front end that was just put in over having a spool..

Good idea gone bad...

Just call the truck tripod......

A new racing year starts with high hopes with the 408c mud truck.
Last year we started 3 months late and could never find the time or money to get things rite.
Poorly understood use of a very high lift cam and poor cam timing decisions by the owner..

New push rods.
Guide plates cleared for push rods and lift.
Rockers cleared for push rods and lift.
Recheck and change cam timing.

First run is this Saturday on a ski slope going up hill in the snow.......(both ways)
This will be interesting.......

Test run hopefully tonight at 4.30 on the farm.

What could go wrong??????

Blykins if you read this..........Do you still have the Dominator intake for sale???

Testing went very well!! In 14in of snow..
Burned 3 gal.of fuel running up and down and around the horse field..(His mom was not real happy)
Best part is not pulling the hood after. This is very rare to happen if ever....
Change the oil and let it eat.

There is video but I don't have it at this time.
