Well looks like I'm putting my 357C in my 83 Mustang. It has a little 306 now that runs 6.90s 1/8 mile on a 125 shot. Could go quicker with more spray. Of course I'm wanting to run quicker than that with this one. I want to swap the k members out to save some of the weight. It has a 585 lift cam, ported 4v closed chamber heads, torker intake, mid length headers, C4, 3800 convertor, 4.10 gears, Aluminum DS. What would y'all change up. Don't have a lot of money to throw at it. This is a street car but it's 99% just a race car.

What's your finish line rpm in the 1/8th mile? Do any 1/4 mile racing?

As of now I'm not sure the RPMS. It's not in the car yet. The car has a 306 in it now which I'm pulling out and giving to my Dad. I plan to race more 1/8 just because I have an 1/8 mile track less than 5 mins from my house but I also plan to race some 1/4 also. I'll look into that intake. That looks better than mine for sure.

I've already got everything to drop it in the car minus the headers. I called D&D and they told me which headers I needed and I found a guy who has a set for sell. The 351C has a Canton double hump pan. I'm buying solid engine mounts. The engine had been in the car years ago but it has a set of manifolds on it. The car then went 8.0s 1/8. It had the wrong head gaskets on it. The block had been o ringed and the factory style head gaskets kept leaking. Had a small cam it and the stock 4 barrel cast intake. So not sure what it would run now.
