I'd try a gas ported piston and look at a .043 / .043 / 3mm pack and get away from the gapless.

Just because you have a low leak down doesn't mean they a getting the job done when running.

How did it go after the head change, did you get the AFD4VR's or the 4VS.

Due to the lightweight car, Dave at AFD thought is best to go with the 4VS.
Dave epoxy filled my tunnel ram to suit the intake ports on the heads, he also organized the new Comp roller cam, CP pistons and T&D shaft rockers to suit.
Flow figures on these heads are awesome.
I have not raced it yet, hope to by mid May.
Rod.

Good info, just gettting 408 together, be done this week. Next up is Vacuum pump and going with Star, a little more than others but the best. Their customer service is second to none. Thats all they do...

Curious to hear what happened Chris, I didn't get to see any of your qualifying runs how did it go? I was watching from the hill for the first round and was looking forward to your race, what happened? Came over later on to catch up and have a chat but you were down at Ham's pit.

Sorry I missed you mate.
Car stalled on the line, I think I might have some crap in the idle circuit.
So far car has gone 7.91 @ 169 after only 3 passes with the AFD heads.
The engine has picked up a few hundred revs in top gear, now crossing at just under 8500.
Still have a lot of tuning to do, hoping for 7.70's.
Rod.
