made this video just to show the basic maintenance of any breather tank, or catch can. Keep them clean. The point is that you can learn some info about your engine. Too much and you have some sealing issues somewhere, weather it is gaskets leaking, or excessive blow by, you will find out with a vacuum pump. Run alcohol, and they make a lot of moisture. They will need service more regularly. To run a vacuum pump, make sure good piston pins, tool steel, good pin lubrication, gas ported pistons, and low tension rings. They say above 10 inches, better have good parts, as mentioned. Just FYI the theory, is that the vacuum created, under the piston, allows the rings to seal better. They say can pick up 10-20+ hp with the right parts to begin with. People can give their experience. I ran with and with out, and never saw any gain. But also only ran at most 12 inches. Be better prepared next time..Don't Forget Live on Unity Motorsports Garage, tonight 8/22, 6:30 pm est. It will be fun, sit and bench race in the garage.
