This video is one I made on setting up the valve spring installed height on the Ford A3 heads, on the 409 Cleveland I just dynoed a couple of weeks ago. I must have done it correctly, as the engine went on the pump, and pulled past 7600 rpm, without any hint of valve float. This is something, I was taught by Donn Rhode, and have only done it 3 times. The installed height for these Pac 1225 springs, in my application is 1.950. It is not difficult to do, but is a of trial and error, make sure you have a good shim selection, and a strong valve spring compressor. Always be careful when working with any spring under pressure. Take your time, and keep things clean. Good luck with your next build, and stay tuned.
