This video shows how I load the 775hp 409 Cleveland, for transport. When lifting an assembled engine, best to use attachments points on the ends of the heads rather than the intake manifold lift plate. If you have ported heads and intake it is a must, to prevent damage to parts that have already been weakened somewhat with porting. I have used the plate for years with mild porting, never had an issues, so just something to think about. make sure it is strapped down safely, to prevent potential injury, while transporting. Road trip to Custom Chassis and Header and the initial installation of the 409 Cleveland into the DragBoss Cougar, utilizing the custom motor plate I was given by Todd Fuchs, of 351C.net. I love the Cleveland Foundry symbols cut out. I hope JP can mount the alternator, and vacuum pump to not cover those up. Also Custom stainless 2 inch primary, stepped to 2 1/8 headers are being made, along with 7 degree merge collectors from Cone Engineering. JP is also installing, a custom Proform slim fit radiator, rack and pinion unit, window net, driveshaft loop, and Calvert Racing leaf spring slider set up. The ultimate for a leaf spring based drag car. I am also in the process of maybe making my own intake manifold with Darin Morgans help on design, and Tod Buttermore making the patterns, pouring the mold, and machining. Be nice to have an intake, that will fit 2v, 4v, and high port type heads for the 351 Cleveland....Stay tuned
