Could you take a 9.5 deck track boss and machine it down to fit the 9.2 deck? I'm not showing anywhere of a 9.2 deck track boss. Just the one in 9.5 and the street boss in 8.2.

Does anybody know how much one would have to machine off for this to work? I could likely do the calculations with some basic trig but It would be easier if one of the builders had the numbers on the top of their head.

I'm sure he could cut this, mill that or use adapters from Price but just bolting one on is much easier and quicker. I think it was Tim Meyer? who questioned if they ever made one in a 9.2 because he is making the intakes now and does not offer one, but, my buddy Mark had one for a 9.2 block. It was right before BA went out that he bought it. Maybe one will turn up on ebay

Thanks for everyone's help and suggestion's.

The saga is over :D He has decided to use a Cleveland style intake and this https://www.trickflow.com/parts/tfs-51600600/all for a water connection. As I mentioned it's going in a dirt track car and while this combination is legal he didn't want to draw more attention than necessary....i.e., would prefer a stock appearing hose connection, etc. so the bow tie boys wouldn't cry too much.

Thanks again for the suggestions, Div1Racer.

doesnt matter what intake it has, once chevy guys see the Cleveland heads they will automatically start to cry that he has a big block. Its been a couple years but at the drag strip I have had chevy guys really try to convince me my 359C is a big block.-- so funny

I've got a circle track customer who runs a Chevy and that engine has hoses coming out of the ends of the heads. Nobody has ever complained but they have garnered some attention.

Circle tracks seem to have weird ways, same customer and engine:

Win heat race, win feature at track. Tech checks carburetor (4412 Holley), checks legal. Next day at a different track, starts last in heat finishes 2nd. Same carburetor is inspected and declared legal. 10 minutes before feature carburetor is inspected again, declared illegal, starts in back with borrowed 4412 finishes 4th. Borrowed carburetor is checked and declared legal. I left track and have never returned. Customer ran there the next season, same engine and the same carburetor. Wins heat, wins feature, carburetor is inspected and found to be 100% legal.....
